MONTREAL BLUES (E.S. 6-4-47 – Saint Theresa seedless – Flambeau)





  • Medium to large slipskin berries
  • Taste similar to Concord
  • Very nice clusters
  • Ripens late
  • Hardiness zone: 4b. Hardy up to -32° C
  • Resistance to winter cold
  • Vine is vigorous
  • Ideal to make juice or eat fresh
  • Self-fertile grape variety

In some parts of the world the Montreal Blues (E.S. 6-4-47) is also known as St. Theresa. Legend has it that a nurseryman after having discussed it with Elmer Swenson would have agreed to call it so, in honor of Saint Therese of Lisieux (France), the Carmelite nun who showed her love of God by planting flowers.
