Le New York Muscat a été hybridé et rendu public par un éminent membre de la communauté scientifique de l’Est des États-Unis reconnu nationalement et internationalement pour son travail: le Dr John Einset.
When he retired in 1973, he was appointed Emeritus Professor of Pomology and Viticulture by Cornell University.
When he died, Cornell University paid tribute to him by publishing a text in his memory in which it is said that “Professor Einset was one of the best fruit cytogeneticists and arborists in the world.”
