Not hardy in Quebec* (requires winter protection)

  • Blue, seeded, medium to large sized, slightly flattened berries
  • Sweet, spicy, Concord-like taste
  • Non-adherent, thick skinned berries (which resists wasp attacks as well as grape rot) on firm pulp (Ideal for shipping)
  • Medium sized clusters occasionally wide, cylindrical and compact
  • Hardy to zone 5b, approximately -26°C (-15°F)
  • Maturité: mi-saison, fin-septembre en zone 4b. Nécessite environ 1150 DJC 10°C (Degrés-Jours de Croissance base 10°C) –ou 2070 DJC base 50°F- to mature fruit
  • Medium vigorous vine
  • Idéal pour faire du jus ou consommer frais, des gelées et confitures. Bon candidat pour faire du vin (fait un vin de style rosé aux arômes de labrusca)
  • Self-pollinating

*WARNING! This grape variety is not hardy in Quebec. Winter protection is required in areas which hardiness zone is less than 5b (Ex: 5b, 5a, 4b, 4a, 3b etc… Cover with geotextile…)

No guarantee offered on cultivars that are not hardy in Quebec.

Once it reaches maturity, the entire cluster ripens all at once!

Ce cépage est souvent appelé «Early Concord» que l’on pourrait traduire par «Concord précoce» pour signifier qu’il possède des caractéristiques très similaires au légendaire Concord, mais arrive à maturité plus rapidement que celui-ci.
